The Focusrite Blue Mastering System
The Focusrite Blue Mastering Range is a suite of processors designed to form the ultimate mastering system.
An uncompromised analogue mastering system, the Focusrite Blue Range is hand-made in the UK, crafted to the highest standards:
- All Blue Range modules are machine-tooled in half-inch thick, deep blue anoplated aluminum, which is scratch-resistant and can be marked and unmarked forever.
- The chassis features recessed section grooves and styling motifs, porthole windows, etched silver control text, and firm-response illuminated switches.
- The pots are made by French company Sfernice to Focusrite’s own specification, made
from conductive plastic, (the same material used by Neve and SSL for their console faders - it gives more sensitivity, there is no mechanical resistance and it’s easy to make very small adjustments).
- There are MU metal cans around all mains transformers to reduce all electromagnetic radiation.
- The relays are gold plated silver in an inert gas, which means that the contact is low resistance, and the gas prevents any kind of corrosion of the surface of the contacts - the most perfect audio switching device ever designed - utterly passive with zero distortion.
The Blue Range of professional mastering modules are built to the highest possible specifications. Digital converters, EQ and analogue compression are all controlled from a unique mastering module. The Focusrite brand was founded in 1985 by Rupert Neve. He is the most enduring influence on the audio industry to date. His goal was to develop products that sounded more musical, in addition to just measuring well. Today Focusrite still employs his founding principles in our class-leading and award-winning mastering equipment.
